Vintage Depression Era Glassware Makers Volume I: Who is Anchor Hocking? Some of you, like myself, may love Depression Era glassware while some may not have heard of this type of glass. I'm going to give you some insight into some of the glass makers and companies involved in manufacturing such magnificent dishes and glass.  There will be several volumes over the next few weeks. Founded by Isaac Jacob in 1905, the company was based in Lancaster, OH and named after the Hocking River.
